Bibliography Search
Source may be a journal name, book title, government or company technical document title, meeting name, etc. Source name values may not be standardized and thus be listed in several ways; that is, there may be more than one source name for the same publication. Journal title abbreviations are often used, as well as full journal names. An example is the journal abbreviation for Radiation Research, which is Radiat Res; thus it may be beneficial to search "Radiat" instead of "Radiation" to return maximum results.
Human Research Program Gaps *
Gaps in knowledge about characterizing the risk and ability to mitigate the risk represent the critical unknowns that need to be addressed to mitigate a risk and therefore serve to focus the areas of research work to address risk reduction milestones.
* based on Human Research Program Integrated Research Plan, Revision M, July 2021. Note that risks and gaps may change annually; historical data is preserved for projects ending before annual changes.
Human Research Program Risks *
Human spaceflight risks include physiological and performance effects from the hazards of spaceflight, such as altered gravity, radiation, and hostile environments, as well as unique challenges in medical support, human factors, and behavioral health support.
