The following 12 articles and Introduction are from a supplement issue to Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine on the topic "Advances in Clinical Space Medicine." The introduction points out that there is "a decidedly practical bent to these articles, with clinical case reports, case management exercises, and considerations for performance optimization derived from recent spaceflight experience." The last article (#13 in the list) is an engrossing fictional account of a medical emergency in space and how a flight surgeon responds.
